To recognise the contribution of progressive women dairy farmers in the growth and development of Indian Dairy sector, every year the Indian Dairy Association (IDA) provides an award for Best Woman Dairy Farmer in the Country.

This award is bestowed to the best women Dairy farmer-one from all the four zones of IDA for their significant contribution in Dairy Development in India.

In this context, Mrs. Laxmiben Bhailal Mota, a member of Maahi Milk Producer Company Limited, has received this prestigious Best Women Dairy Farmer Award for the year 2019 for West Zone during 48th Dairy Industry Conference held at Jaipur, Rajasthan from 20-22 February, 2020.

She was honoured by Dr.Sanjeev Kumar Balyan, Minister of State for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Dept. of A.H. & Dairying, Govt. of India in august presence of Shri. Atul Chaturvedi, Secretory, Ministry of fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying, Dept. of A.H. & Dairying, Govt. of India, Shri. Dilip Rath, Chairman, National Dairy Development Board along with other dignitaries of the Dairy sector.

Mrs. Laxmiben Mota is associated with Maahi since December, 2012 and she pours milk at Baag Milk Pooling Point of Dhunai BMC, Kutch district.
